The beauty of this oil is in the simplicity, offering potency of frequency and medicine. The friendly, soft and magical arms of the white pine open wide to you as a nourishing infusion of deep peace, tranquility, and heart softening energy while bestowing your skin with a boost of vitality via vitamin A and C, antioxidants and antibacterial qualities. Virgin organic jojoba oil works synergistically with your sebum to restore oil balance, cleanse and moisturize. This oil is infused with fresh (not dry) white pine needles and twigs which I feel enhances the scent, frequency and medicinal value.
Inspiration: The making of this oil was inspired by one of my most favorite people, Barbara, who made an infusion of her from the Camelot-esque forest of Sandwich, NH. Upon her arrival to me, I couldn't stop slathering her all over me daily and knew I wanted to share this love with you! You can find Barbara at The Quaking Poplar on Substack. Her stories -esp the communing with trees- will light you up.
Scent: The oil leaves a lingering light scent of pine resin on the skin, a reminder of the simple beauty of nature and how to steer ourselves back onto her course.
Historic Use: White Pine has long been used by the Native Americans to prevent scurvy, flu and cold, to treat insect bites and wounds and to cleanse impurities from the skin.
A note from Christy: Many oil cleansers have a essential oils and castor oil in them. While I love both of those ingredients, I chose not to add them to this potion in part so that it can double as an eye makeup remover, but also because I found that the pure White Pine Oil functioned best overall as a cleanser and moisturizer, and retained the scent best. I have been using her this way for a year now and can't be without her! I hope you love the simplicity and potency too!

As an Oil Cleanser: dispense a few pumps into your palm, then massage over face and neck loosening makeup, and any buildup from the day. (May be used over the eyes as a makeup remover). Wet a washcloth or cotton pad with warm water and wipe over the face and neck, removing oil and debris. Repeat as needed. Follow with Chanda, White Pine Witch Hazel, or hydrosol, then Immortal Oil, Serum, and Balm of choice.
As Facial Massage Oil: upon waking or before retiring for the evening, dispense a few pumps of oil into your palm along with a few spritzes of hydrosol or water, massage over clean damp skin (face, neck, & chest) spending a good few minutes gently working the oil upward to undo gravity and promote blood flow.
As a Body Oil: Massage liberally over freshly showered or bathed skin while still damp.
