Heirloom rose, harvested by hand on my Mennonite friend's land. These are the best-smelling old-time roses. According to Jacqueline Hobbs, rose offers the highest vibration of love on the planet. In herbal tradition she is cooling and a tonic for the heart. She opens and soothes the mind, inspires self-love and deepens our relationships with others. (Paraphrased from Robin Rose.)
Rose hips, especially Rosa rugosa, are wonderfully multifaceted. They are rich in vitamin C, flavonoids and carotenoids, antioxidants that support healthy immune function, healthy blood vessels and the circulatory system.
Hawthorn berry is rich in oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) and flavonoids like hyperoside and vitexin. She has been used for centuries to support healthy circulation and heart function. She has incredible energetic qualities too. I love what Robin Rose says about her: "Hawthorn's potent, thorny medicine helps you say 'No' to someone else and 'Yes' to yourself without shutting down your heart." Hawthorn lifts the spirits, especially when taken regularly. It's as if she helps you see through the eyes of the heart, where, as the Sufi saying goes, "All masks fall away."
Ginkgo leaf carries flavone glycosides and terpene lactones, which support healthy circulation, especially the fine flow to the brain and extremities.
Yarrow is a bitter, aromatic herb with a long history of supporting healthy circulation and moving stagnant energy.
Rhodochrosite: If any stone were love, hugs, and pure heart in form - It would be Rhodochrosite. Her joy and aliveness, compassion and love, and ultimately a higher state of consciousness. Nourishing essence for heartbreak, dullness or slight depression, or a lack of open-hearted joy since a hard or stressful period of life change. -Crystal Clarity / Sarah Thomas
Rose quartz speaks directly to the Heart Chakra, dissolving emotional wounds, fears, and resentments, and circulates Divine loving energy throughout the entire aura. Reawakening the heart to its own innate love, it provides a deep sense of personal fulfillment and contentment, allowing one the capacity to truly give and receive love from others.
Malachite clears and activates the heart chakra. She is often used as a love stone, believed to bring peacefulness and harmony to relationships, to clear negative energy and to attract new love. She encourages healthy relationships based on love, not need, and gives resistance to emotional blackmail. I'm a nervous flyer, and I can attest to traveling much more calmly with malachite!
