Sea buckthorn gives Haima her golden orange color. Its berries are one of the only plant sources of omega-7 (palmitoleic acid), a fatty acid our own young skin is rich in, alongside omegas 3, 6 and 9. It's also loaded with carotenoids (provitamin A), vitamin E and vitamin C, for skin that looks smoother, calmer and more radiant.
Rosehip seed oil is a lightweight, non-greasy oil rich in linoleic and linolenic acids, which strengthen elasticity and the skin barrier. Its carotenoids (provitamin A) support renewal and help soften the look of fine lines and dark spots.
Shea butter is rich in stearic and oleic acids, which cushion and seal in moisture. It also has an unusually high share of “unsaponifiables” (triterpenes, plant sterols and cinnamic acid esters) that calm and protect dry, weathered skin.
Borage seed oil is the richest plant source of GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), at around 20%. GLA helps rebuild the lipids that hold the skin barrier together, which is why borage is so comforting for chronic dryness, flaking and tightness.
Macadamia nut oil is high in palmitoleic acid (omega-7), a fatty acid found in young skin's natural oils that declines with age. It sinks in easily and helps restore softness to mature, dry skin.
Chia seed oil is considered the richest source of omega-3 fatty acids in nature, at around 60%. Omega-3s help the skin hold water and keep it supple, and chia's antioxidants, including myricetin and quercetin, help protect it from oxidative stress.
Argan oil is about 80% essential fatty acids and rich in vitamin E and plant sterols. It absorbs quickly, nourishes and won't clog pores.
Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant your skin makes naturally, the energy carrier inside every cell. Its levels decline with age and stress, and replenishing it helps skin look firmer and more elastic.
Beeswax forms a breathable barrier that holds moisture in while letting skin function naturally, unlike petroleum-based balms that sit on top and seal everything out.
Sandalwood, geranium and frankincense. Australian sandalwood's santalols soften and calm the skin, geranium's geraniol and citronellol help balance it, and frankincense CO2 supports renewal. Together they give Haima her warm, grounding scent.
